Have you considered joining a structured referral based organization like BNI ( I belong to that one) Attend events where your target clients are attending and get to know them. Also, have you considered using social media (twitter, facebook, myspace, etc) to grow new relationships who might end up being your customers? You can also subscribe to my weekly newsletter for other tried and true tips on growing your direct sales business.

Because that's a fairly local type of advertising, I'd suggest just dropping a line into your local craiglist.org page.

Craigslist gets a lot of exposure, and is a good free way to advertise.

If you're looking for a more widespread way of making money, can I suggest taking a look at https://www.ecommbiz.net

They show all kinds of ways to make money, to market what you're selling, and even provide you with the sites to do it with.

at home businesses are hard to get off the ground, or at least to the level of making enough money to consider itself worthwhile. You basically need to know tons of people or a way to contact them. Buy an internet directory listing, direct mailer listing etc. to market to many people at one.
