What is a good fundraiser to do for a girl's soccer team?

My daughter's soccer team is in need of funds for tournaments and training and are looking for an unique fundraiser that doesnt involve direct sale of items. The girls are 12-13 year old. Has anyone done a fundraiser that raised a fair amount of money and that the team could all participate in?

In my area, families from the team donated unwanted household items and then had a huge yard sale at the local middle school parking lot. Or, it could be held indoors if it is cold in your area. Yes, this is selling- but the people in the neighborhood come to you for items they may be interested in (and a bargain), and they feel good knowing they are helping out the girls soccer team. You could even advertise the sale for free on Craigslist. All the best to you!

  • I have done many successful fundraisers for sports teams. Usually limiting to less than five products is the best way to go. I usually offer an incentive for the one who sells the most. Satin Hands Pampering set or lip gloss with lip protector have been the most successful. You can contact me if you'd like me to do the fundraiser by going to http://tinyurl.com/67fo28
I give 20% to the team.

Bottle Drives are fun and u just go around, knock on doors, and ask for peoples bottles, u do a favor for them, it's good for the enviroment, and my field hockey team made 600 dolars!!!

You could have a carwash. Those always rake in a lot of dough, however, that's a better idea if you have a team of high school seniors...not 12-13 year olds. In junior high for my choir, we had an "Egg Drive". The girls go door-to-door (doesn't really work in the city, I'm afraid) and at the first place they hit up, they explain what they're raising money for and ask for an egg. Then they go to the next house, explain themselves again and try to sell the egg to the neighbor.

I have 2 that worked pretty well for my swim team..

    1. lunch auction: Have the girls make lunches for after the game or for a party and invite people to bid on the baskets they want. When the bidding is over and the girls hopefully win the game have a large picnic with everyone you invited to the fundraising game.

    2. Chores - Have each girl donate hours to cleaning up trash, walking dogs, washing windows, vacumming. They can be helping the community and getting tips.

In nice weather, car washes do fairly well.
Or, getting permission from your church for a bake sale might be a possibility.
I know in high school I was in the German club and we sold German chocolate to raise funds, and soccer is a mainly European phenom.
Drawings or raffles for a nice prize also seem to work well in our schools here. Maybe a gift basket, or a dinner somewhere nice?
    Good luck!
